Ensign & Tribe

Inspired by scraps of colorful fabrics in a tailor shop Senegal, our designers envisioned a dance of color and light that eventually became Ensign and Tribe. Artisans hand dye, starch, cut, sort, and iron the fabric flags with coal-heated irons, then sew them with foot-powered sewing machines. The result is series of stunning interlayers that convey a natural elegance and vibrance.
